Rangers: Fans tear into Steven Davis after Scottish Cup defeat - Rangers

A number of Rangers fans took to Twitter to vent their anger at Steven Davis following his performance against Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Cup on Saturday evening.

Unsurprisingly, a number of fans were far from happy with what they saw from the Light Blues in the game against the Edinburgh-based outfit as another potential trophy slipped away from Steven Gerrard’s hands.

The Ibrox side were far from good enough in truth and appeared to be outplayed by Hearts, with the Glaswegians only able to muster five shots at goal compared to their opponents nine whilst they also struggled to keep the ball – with the hosts having a 56% share of the ball (as per SofaScore).

Indeed, a number of fans had taken to social media following the result to share how they felt and it appears a number of them had something to say about the experienced Northern Irishman – with many leaving nothing to the imagination.

In fact, the4thOfficial also appeared to take aim at Davis with their player ratings as they mentioned that the veteran midfielder “should have offered more” and “lacked creativity and imagination” – ultimately handing him a rating of 5/10.

Here are just some of the Rangers faithful’s views…
