Rangers: Fans unhappy despite Steven Gerrard confirming return of Scott Arfield - Rangers

Rangers fans were feeling unhappy after head coach Steven Gerrard revealed the latest team news ahead of the clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

In his pre-match press conference, Steven Gerrard revealed that a late decision will be made on James Tavernier, who has suffered a foot injury and hasn’t trained ahead of the game. Meanwhile, he told the media that the £2.25m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, Scott Arfield is fit and ready to play, Jermain Defoe is out for a couple of weeks with a calf problem and Ryan Jack won’t be available.

Tomorrow evening’s game comes amid a horrible run of form for the side, who have won just two of their last five across all competitions (via WhoScored). However, the Europa League has been something of a welcome distraction away from domestic affairs at times with the Gers unbeaten in their last six in the European competition. Supporters were left feeling displeased with the news as they took to Twitter to react. Here are some tweets:

On the other hand, two supporters opted for sarcastic responses when voicing their displeasure:

Rangers fans, what do you make of the team news for tomorrow? Let us know your thoughts!
