Rangers fans were calling for Steven Gerrard to start Alfredo Morelos tonight after they were asked to choose between the Colombian and Florian Kamberi.
Journalist Bill Young put the question to supporters and some of them were certain the Colombia international should lead the line. The calls come despite the £13.5m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, centre-forward’s horrible run of form, which has seen him fail to score in his last eight Scottish Premiership fixtures.
However, the on-loan Hibernian striker hasn’t been much better, scoring just once since he joined the Glasgow outfit in the January transfer window. As a matter of fact, goals have been hard to come by for Gers in the league with Steven Gerrard’s men having struck just twice in their last four games across all competitions, as per WhoScored. The Ibrox faithful were adamant that the 23-year-old should be handed the starting role as they took to Twitter to answer Young’s question. Here are some tweets:

Morelos. Lets be fair – Kamberi only played cause Alfredo was suspended, true?

Morelos 100% hopefully will score and snap out of whatever is up with him

I’d say Morelos if I thought he’d work hard to increase his chances of a good mould because he’s an excellent player. But the form he’s in it’s impossible to predict.
