Rangers: Fans were thrilled with Ryan Jack’s performance against Ross County

Ryan Jack returned to the Rangers engine room after being rested against Motherwell at the weekend and he showed just what was missing with an all-action display including two superbly-taken long range goals in the 4-0 win over Ross County in Dingwall.
Jack has recently return to action following an injury sustained against Livingston in the Betfred Cup quarter-final and impressed in the 1-1 draw with Porto last week, winning two aerial duels as well as making three clearances and four interceptions, as per WhoScored.
Steven Gerrard has overseen a transformation in the way that Jack plays from a defensive midfielder who plays simple passes in maintaining possession to a real box-to-box player who carries a genuine goal threat.
Jack recently signed a new deal with the club that extends his stay until 2023 and he celebrated in style with a comfortable win and two goals.
These Rangers fans took to Twitter to praise Jack’s outstanding performance, with some tipping him as a future Light Blues captain:
Doesn’t realise how good he really is. Would love to see him get the armband.

Showing that you don’t need to have the captain’s armband to be a leader on the pitch. Bossed the game👏

Jack is just what Rangers need 👍👍

Enjoyed that performance last night and good to see so many players do well – particularly Aribo who should be a key player for us this season. My player ratings follow including my first 10 of the season for the peerless Ryan Jack. https://t.co/RPXvZMglr2 pic.twitter.com/fO3KSbzzuA

Think a few things were confirmed at Ross County last night. Ryan Jack is future captain. The fans are outstanding and the gaffer knows what he is doing. Just wish people would stop questioning his use of the squad. WATP
