They claim that Mark Warburton’s side have emerged as shock favourites to land Robin van Persie from Fenerbahce.
The 32-year old has endured a miserable spell in Istanbul since leaving Manchester United last summer and was previously targeted as a potential target for Stoke City.
He is now just 4/1 to end up with Rangers, having almost moved North of the Border back in 2002 while Dick Advocaat worked for the club.
