Rangers: James Tavernier returns to form against Hearts after recent slump

Rangers captain James Tavernier put in an assured performance, including an assist for Alfredo Morelos, as his side progressed to the final of the Betfred League Cup following a 3-0 victory over Hearts on Sunday at Hampden.
Brilliant result in tough conditions.. Great to reach a final and the fans were unreal 🙌🏽🇬🇧 Onto Thursday now 🔴⚪🔵 pic.twitter.com/EctNlvuKgQ

Tavernier has certainly endured a difficult start to the campaign amid high profile defensive blunders both in the Europa League and the Scottish Premiership. Furthermore, he has also missed three penalties out of five which has increased the pressure on the Ibrox club’s skipper.
Still, the £250k signing from Wigan has shown signs of recovery this week with two solid displays against Ross County and Hearts respectively including an assist in each game taking his total to ten for the season. Hopefully, he can build on this as the season progresses towards the proverbial business end.
Rangers fans took to Twitter to show their support for their captain and backed him to be the man lifting the trophy come full-time on the 8th of December.
Captain – time for greatness & to lift silverware this December 👏🏻💙
