Many Rangers fans have responded on Twitter to the news that their colts team have been drawn to play Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the semi-finals of the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cup.
Graeme Murty’s colts side have been in good form to reach this stage of the competition. Indeed, the junior side have come up against some fairly decent sized men’s teams and have come out victorious.
In the build-up to this stage of the competition, they have managed to defeat National League sides Wrexham and Solihull Moors, Northern Irish side Ballymena United, Stranraer and Berwick Rangers.
The Gers have won the competition once before in 2016, as well as being the losing finalists in the 2014 competition, though that was their senior side rather than the colts.
Many Rangers fans had their say about the cup draw, with there being a fair few mixed reactions. With a long trip to the Highlands pencilled in the diary, some people are excited for the trip, while others wish it was a little bit closer.
Here are some of the responses from fans below…
The amount of miles covered in this cup campaign must be some sort of record. Good luck to the wee Bears
