Rangers still continue to plan how they will improve their squad in order to sustain their title challenge.
Steven Gerrard, on the whole, will be delighted as to how his first half of the season as Rangers manager went, with his team level on points with Celtic.
It will be a hard task to continue piling the pressure on experienced winners like the Hoops but Rangers have done extremely well so far this transfer window in recruiting some influential players.
They need to continue that so their squad is best prepared for the battle ahead, so the next player they should look at poaching is Fulham’s Kevin McDonald, a midfielder that’s gone out of favour at Craven Cottage.
McDonald, (who is valued at £3.6 million on Transfermarkt) would be a very good signing for Rangers as Steven Gerrard aims to add more to his midfield.
Despite recruiting two new midfielders already this transfer window, Kevin McDonald would certainly be an upgrade on some other players Steven Gerrard currently has.
With players expected to be allowed to leave the club this window as well, room could be made to accommodate a very tidy operator like Kevin McDonald.
Fulham are reportedly open to allowing Kevin McDonald to leave the club during this window on a loan deal, which will be beneficial for all parties as the 30-year-old can get the playing time he so desperately desires.
The Scotsman has played 11 times this season but with Rangers, he can help with far greater effect because they have a chance of securing a title, whereas Fulham are battling relegation.
