Rangers ready to offer 23-year-old outcast Ibrox move this summer

Following reports from the Sun over the course of the weekend, the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been dancing in delirious delight.

They claimed a couple of days ago that the Gers were lining up a surprise move for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino as his contract at the Hawthorns winds down.

After emerging as one of the most promising marksmen in the Premier League a few years ago now, the 23-year-old has been blighted by failed transfer sagas and disciplinary problems.

To that end, Rangers are reportedly ready to offer him an exit route out of the west Midlands and are thought to have already made contact with his representatives.

Due to being an overseas club, the Scottish side would only have to shell out around £500k in compensation should he join on a free, though there is also believed to be interest within the Premier League.

Despite his personal problems, Berahino would be a huge coup for the SPFL and would certainly bring an element of glamour back to Ibrox.

Do Rangers have any hope of landing Berahino? Let us know below…
