Rangers remain hopeful over truly gifted midfielder

Life in the top flight hasn’t quite been all it’s cracked up to be for the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern of late, who have had to watch their side struggle to keep up with bitter rivals Celtic.

Mark Warburton’s first season in the SPFL has been far from easy, though some promising reports from the Daily Record have emerged at least.

They claim that the Gers are confident in warding off any potential interest in wonderkid Billy Gilmour, who was recently linked with some of the top Premier League sides.

Only 15, the midfielder is reportedly hugely rated by those at the club, as well as within the Scotland youth setup after his stunning performances of late.

In fact, the Daily Mirror recently suggested he could command a fee of around £3m.

However, the report states the Ibrox outfit could well offer the talented teen the promise of a clear pathway into the first-team within 18 months as they look to develop his talent in Glasgow.

Seen much of Gilmour? Would be best suited simply staying with Rangers? Let us know below…
