Rangers reportedly ready to make managerial appointment in coming days

Our Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see their side get a new manager in and start getting back on track so The Daily Star’s latest report should be welcomed.

The Gers have looked pretty rudderless of late with Graeme Murty unable to get much of a reaction out of the Ibrox club following Mark Warburton’s departure.

They’re now in danger of getting well and truly left behind by Aberdeen in the race for second in the league, too, and so a decision on who comes into the dugout next is needed soon.

Indeed, that is what the report is suggesting with the new man reportedly to be announced later this week.

Ross Wilson of Southampton is also the club’s preferred candidate to come in as a Director of Football and that announcement could also be made in the coming days.

Testing times for our Rangers fans here by the bar, then, though they are at least pleased to see that movements seem to be going on and should be concluded soon enough.

Thoughts on this, Rangers fans? Let us know below!
