Rangers should plot a move for Leicester outcast Andy King in January

Rangers are feeling confident that the future is bright under boss Steven Gerrard as the Liverpool and England legend continues to get better game by game.

Helped of course by a keen bunch of players on the pitch, Gerrard and his team currently sit higher than Celtic in the table for the first time in a long time, with the fans determined to keep it that way.

The only viable way to ensure that happens is to recruit some more determined players during the January transfer window and an example of a good signing could be Leicester City’s Andy King.

King, who is valued at £2.7 million on Transfermarkt, is a Leicester City veteran but in recent times, game-time has not been coming King’s way.

At 29, there is still plenty of football left in the tank for Andy King and what better way to spend it than by helping progress Rangers into a top Scottish force once again.

Last season, the central-midfielder spent the six months out on-loan with Swansea as well as playing during the start of the campaign for Leicester. King went on to appear in the Premier League 22 times and even managed to pop up with three important goals.

Rangers aren’t in desperate need of any players right now but their aspirations to become champions can only be achieved with significant squad depth and Andy King would provide just that.

The midfielder is the definition of experienced and he has the knowledge of football as well as the ability to play it still to a very high level.
