Rangers should target these 2 big names if Dave King pumps money in

Rangers supporters have been making a lot of noise in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side thump Falkirk 4-1 on Sunday to reach the last four of the Scottish Cup, where they will face bitter rivals Celtic for a place in the Hampden Park showpiece.

Graeme Murty’s men got past Fraserburgh and Ayr United to reach the last eight of the competition, a competition they have tasted success in on 33 occasions, but not at all since 2009. Yet the Light Blues edged closer to ending that nine-year drought on Sunday as a hat-trick from Jason Cummings alongside an Aaron Muirhead own goal sealed a routine win for the Gers at Ibrox, thus setting them up perfectly for the visit of Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

Consequently, there have been many delighted Rangers fans in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are eagerly anticipating Sunday’s Old Firm clash at Ibrox, with the Gers knowing that victory over the Bhoys would move them to within three points of the league leaders.

In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Light Blues supporters to get their teeth into, not least recent reports linking former chairman Sir David Murray with a return to the club.

The 66-year-old sold the Scottish giants back in 2011 to Craig Whyte for just £1, thus bringing to an end a 23-year tenure as the majority shareholder at Ibrox, in which time the Gers won 15 Scottish Premiership titles, and countless other domestic trophies.

And reports suggest that he could well be ready to buy back into the club, and as such here are TWO big name signings current chairman Dave King could make were he to pump money into the Scottish giants…
