It’s been an interesting season for Rangers, and for Ryan Kent, in particular, it’s been a campaign that has seen the youngster put himself on the footballing map.
The winger has been one of Steven Gerrard’s most important players in his debut year into senior management as Kent racked up six goals and six assists in the Scottish Premiership and established himself as a firm fan favourite at the Ibrox.
With supporters wanting the attacker to remain at the club for a further season on loan or even on a permanent deal, the future of Kent will be a hotly talked about topic over the course of the summer transfer window, and Gerrard has confirmed Rangers are looking to bring the winger back on loan for another year.
Kent was one of Rangers most impressive players this season, helping the team to second place in the league and being a major threat down the left-wing, but for the future of the club, it could be better if the Gers move on from the Liverpool attacker next season.
The 22-year-old has shown he is a player of superb quality and could one day become a world-beater in the game, and if Kent joins Rangers on a permanent deal it will be hard for the club to retain such a talent in the long-term.
Kent, who is valued on Transfermarkt at £1.58 million, has what it takes to go all the way to the top, and with teams catching wind of his impact under Gerrard, it will be difficult for Rangers fans to see their new fan favourite stay in Glasgow for the long-term.
Rangers fans, should Gerrard target another winger this summer? Let us know!
