The mood amongst the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern has been very, very low since their League Cup semi-final exit against Motherwell. Indeed, it’s not exactly been a vintage year for the Light Blues under Pedro Caixinha, much to the dismay of those propping up our bar.
With that in mind, many of our resident Gers are predicting a sacking for the Portuguese should his side lose to Kilmarnock tomorrow night after getting fed up with the 46-year-old. So, reports from the Daily Telegraph have proven rather interesting for our local Light Blues.
According to their report, Caixinha is teetering on the brink at Ibrox after their Hampden nightmare at the hands of a Louis Moult-led Motherwell side, meaning the Portuguese is yet to win three games on the trot in charge of the club he took charge of way back in March.
After a bizarre press conference prior to the visit of Killie, the report suggests he’s on the brink in Glasgow and it’s fair to say not all too many of the drinkers here are still on his side.
It’s hard to have all too much sympathy for Caixinha, who has fallen out with senior players such as Kenny Miller along the way. Even if he wins tomorrow night, it’s hard to see him saving his bacon at Ibrox.
