Rangers to raid England for two crucial signings

RangersRangers fans are gathered around the pool table in The Transfer Tavern discussing reported potential January transfer targets, as they express their optimism in their bid to return to the top-flight.

HITC is reporting that the Scottish Championship leaders are set to make a move for Accrington Stanley duo Josh Windass and Matt Crooks when the window opens next month.

Both players will cost Rangers around £500,000, should boss Mark Warburton decide to go through with a January bid for the players.

20-year-old Windass, who is the son of former Hull City striker Dean, plays as an attacking midfielder and his form for the club so far this season have earned the youngster some rave reviews.

As for Crooks, at 21 he is a defensive midfielder who has protected the back four of Accrington well in their rise up the League Two table this season.

Accrington boss John Coleman originally said the players were not for sale, but with the club being knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday they missed out on the opportunity of a money spinning third round tie and some much needed funds.

The Rangers fans in The Transfer Tavern don’t know much about the duo but feel they must have some potential for their manager to be considering signing the players.
