Rangers transfer saga takes another turn as interest in star grows – Report

Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping to fend off any approach for their star players, as they hope to secure an all-important European spot.

Indeed, Graeme Murty’s side delivered some impressive transfer window business of their own after welcoming six players to the club. But, it’s been a well known fact that Rangers marksman Alfredo Morelos has been the subject of interest in recent times, as it continues to make for worrying signs at Ibrox. And, to make matters worse, according to reports from the Scottish Sun, Rangers have rejected a fourth bid worth £9 million for Alfredo Morelos from Chinese side Beijing Renhe.

Much to the dismay of our local residents here in the Tavern, Chinese side Beijing Renhe haven’t given up hope on landing Morelos, with the close of the Chinese transfer window scheduled for February 28. The Super League outfit had three previous offers rejected for the Colombian, with a fourth worth in the region of £9 million having now been tabled.

And, as if the Chinese interest wasn’t enough stress to fend off for the Bluenoses, they appear to have also been contacted by two South American clubs in the past 48 hours. But, the important fact for Rangers fans is that the stance remains the same on the matter, as the Gers look to turn a blind eye to any advancements being made until the summer.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Keeping hold of Alfredo Morelos is a must for Rangers this season, as seeing him carry on his rich goalscoring vein will not only benefit the Gers, but will also provide him with the best opportunity of heading to the World Cup. Although, with money playing a huge part in today’s game, a possible move in the summer transfer window wouldn’t be a surprise.
