Rangers would seriously strengthen with clever addition of £2.7m-rated 29-year-old this summer

The Rangers fans within the Transfer Tavern are hoping that this summer’s transfer window will bless the team with more quality so they can push Celtic for a real title race.

For too long, it’s been easy for Celtic to stroll to the title and the Gers desperately need some fresh faces if they’re to build a true match to their hated rivals. With uncertainty surrounding both the manager and his players, it is set to be another interesting summer and one which could outline their aspirations for next season.

Our punters are keen to get recognized names into the Rangers set-up and whilst exploring the Premier League for available options, Scott Arfield, who is valued at £2.70 million on Transfermarkt, is a player that Rangers should seriously look at to bolster their squad. The 29-year-old has had his season interrupted by injuries but still managed to feature in 20 games for Burnley, scoring 2 goals so far.

Scott Arfield isn’t the most thrilling player to watch but like all Burnley players, he will guarantee you hard-work, desire and commitment to helping whichever team he may be in. Rangers are surely hopeful of recruiting all kinds of players this summer and with Arfield available on a free transfer, the Gers would become a stronger outfit with just his addition alone.

With the ability to play wide on either side and alternatively in central-midfield, Arfield provides an element of versatility which would be an asset for many teams. It’s fair to say the Gers fans are not happy with their team at the moment because so much still needs to be changed. However, bringing in Scott Arfield would certainly be a step in the right direction as he is a capable Premier League footballer.
