The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern saw their collective moods lifted over the course of the weekend after a 1-4 away win over Hamilton Accies.
While it’s barely a groundbreaking result, a good performance from Pedro Caixinha’s men have at least allowed our local Light Blues to enjoy themselves for the last few days.
That certainly helps after recent reports in regards to Kenny Miller’s situation. The veteran striker is understood to have been banished from the first-team prior to the Light Blues’ trip to the SuperSeal Stadium, much to the annoyance of our resident Gers.
Though they didn’t need him in the end, the 37-year-old is a hugely popular figure amongst the punters propping up our bar, though the Daily Mail do shed some further light on that very matter.
They claim Caixinha has downplayed any rift between the two, despite the Scot travelling down to London to play with Rangers’ U23 side against Brentford after being left out of the win in Lanarkshire.
Caixinha needs to be careful when dealing with Miller. The Scottish forward may no longer be a first-team regular, though does retain a huge amount of support in the east end of Glasgow, so can’t be disposed of with such ease.
