Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking ahead to their home match with Dundee on Saturday for their first win in three matches as they look to keep hold of second place in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers have played one game more than Aberdeen, who are in third place, however, they are level on points and will be hoping the Dons slip up. Rangers will be looking to continue to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic in the future, as well as the return to European football and have identified Youssouf Mulumbu as a man that can help them improve.
The former West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City star has impressed since arriving at Kilmarnock and Steve Clark is not convinced he will be able to keep his star at Rugby Park beyond the end of the season.
Mulumbu’s contract expires and it is thought Rangers are keen to pick him up in the summer, although the player has admitted there has been no contact with anyone about a move.
“I’m not going to lie to you, it’s an honour to have my name linked with those teams but I don’t even know if it’s rumours of if it’s true,” he told the Scottish Sun.
“I’m proud of that. I don’t know if it’s true or not but I’m proud.”
Rangers fans in the Tavern would be delighted if they could secure the experienced midfielder in the summer to help them boost their competitive side and help them challenge for honours, especially with Mulumbu being available for free.
The locals will be wanting Graeme Murty and the Ibrox club to make the deal happen and not allow the likes of Celtic to get their first!
Rangers fans, what do you think Mulumbu could add to your side should he join you in the summer? Let us know below!
