Robertson holds talks with striker as Rangers make move on anticipated deal

Still reeling from their win rather dismal Old Firm loss at the hands of bitter rivals Celtic, the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a rapid improvement.

With yet another meeting with the Bhoys coming up this weekend, at least the Light Blues drowning their sorrows in the Tavern have been handed some good news from the Scottish Sun.

They claim the Gers are ready to offer Kenny Miller a new deal at long last, following his wonderful performances this year. Despite his ageing years, the 37-year-old is widely regarded as one of the club’s best players and the punters in the bar are delighted.

Miller is understood to have met with managing director Stewart Robertson as they try to negotiate a new deal for the club’s Player of the Year. The former Scotland international is reportedly desperate to sign a new deal at Ibrox, as the club prepare for a whole season under the stewardship of Pedro Caixinha.
