Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping to tie down a couple of their superstars in the near future, as the Gers look to challenge for the Scottish Premier League title next season.
The Bluenoses have been in a rich vein of form in recent times, with a European spot looking like just reward for their impressive showing thus far. Indeed, many of the key moments in the Gers’ season has been down to the brilliance of striker Alfredo Morelos, a player who our local residents would love to see at the club for years to come. And, supporters may just be about to get their wish, as according to reports in the Daily Record, Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’ agent is set for talks over a new Ibrox deal.
Alfredo Morelos’ agent will fly into Scotland this week as Rangers attempt to agree a deal for the future of their Colombian marksman. And, his performances haven’t gone unnoticed at Ibrox, with manager Graeme Murty admitting that the striker had earned the reward of a new and improved deal with the club.
Indeed, after fending off interest from seven clubs for the services of the 21-year-old, it now appears that the striker has his eyes set firmly on extending his stay in Glasgow but is hopeful that the package provided can help keep him happy. Indeed, this is proving to be a huge turn in the road for both the player and the club, after the Colombian’s future at Ibrox looked to be coming to an end during the January transfer window.
Alfredo Morelos has been crucial to the Gers’ season so far, with his 15 goals proving priceless with the current position they find themselves in. And, with talks looking to be underway sometime this week about a possible new deal, it’s beginning to look as if Rangers have themselves a high-quality asset for the foreseeable future at Ibrox.
