Rangers: Fans are backing Eros Grezda

Rocksport Radio’s Bill Young created a debate on Twitter after Eros Grezda’s performance in the Rangers Colts penalty shoot-out victory over Solihull Moors had some fans claiming he should be rewarded with a return to the first-team.

Young was firmly in the camp that Grezda was merely performing as he should, given that he is an international playing against a team from the fifth tier of English football.

Grezda has not had his troubles to seek in his short Rangers career with proposed moves falling through in the summer and being involved in a spitting incident in an earlier Challenge Cup round.

With Brandon Barker and Jordan Jones both injured, Ryan Kent and Jamie Murphy not fully match fit and Sheyi Ojo out of form, maybe, just maybe, Grezda might yet play for the first-team again under Steven Gerrard.

These fans let their feelings be known on the controversial Albanian.
