It’s been a season to forget for the Rangers fans often found drowning their sorrows while draped over the bar in the Transfer Tavern.
The Light Blues are lightyears behind bitter rivals Celtic and every drinker who frequents our four walls are hoping they up their game next term in order to make the SPFL a bit more competitive.
Still, reports from the Scottish Sun have only annoyed the Gers in the bar even more. They’ve revealed rivals Heart of Midlothian have pipped the Ibrox giants to the signing of Scotland international Christophe Berra.
The defender was allowed to leave Ipswich Town in order to return to his native Scotland, though will move to Ian Cathro’s rebuild at Tynecastle.
A deal is expected to be confirmed over the next 24 hours, with Pedro Caixinha missing out, forcing him to move onto other targets.
A blow indeed, though it’s fair to say our local Rangers fans aren’t too concerned.
