With the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern eager to see Pedro Caixinha continue to improve his squad following their dismal Europa League exit, many of our locals are desperate to read rumours and reports in that regard.
Indeed, while the Portuguese tactician has already conducted quite the overhaul at Ibrox, it doesn’t yet seem to have been enough to completely right the wrongs of last season. With that in mind, a story from the Scottish Sun has worried our resident Gers even more.
They claim SPFL rivals Heart of Midlothian are ready to go all out to ward the Light Blues off in their reported pursuit of Tynecastle star, Jamie Walker. The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move over to Glasgow, though the Jambos are understood to have snubbed three separate offers.
While Rangers are still reportedly keen, top brass in Edinburgh are believed to be ready to make Walker the club’s highest paid player in an attempt to keep him in the Scottish capital. Hearts chief Ian Cathro is said to view him as a big part of his team, though the academy graduate has just a year left on his deal.
Though the Gorgie side would reportedly sell for £1m, our resident Rangers fans are begging he doesn’t accept this apparent new offer.
