While the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern are already bored of the international break, good news has emerged for them.
It’s not exactly been a vintage campaign at Ibrox, though reports from Rangers TV (via BBC Sport) have at least raised the mood amongst the punters propping up our bar.
They’ve revealed that Niko Kranjcar and Danny Wilson have returned to training after spells out, in a big boost for Pedro Caixinha.
The pair have missed the last few games a knee and calf injury respectively, so their return will surely give Rangers a boost as they look to close the gap on Celtic and Aberdeen at the top of the table. With a League Cup semi-final against Motherwell also coming up before the end of October, this is very good news for our resident Gers.
”Niko started with us yesterday and he will be with us today again”, Caixinha told Rangers TV (via the Beeb.)
“It is like a programme, two days on and one day off with Steve [Walker] doing the physio work.
“And Danny Wilson, he is supposed to start with us today so let’s see how it goes.”
Wilson’s return will be a big boost, more than anything. Caixinha has been forced to deploy a rather makeshift backline of late, so the Scotland cap’s presence will be a positive thing.
