With the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern largely having to endure their first season back in the top flight, rather than enjoying, it’s fair to say the local Gers really could do with some cheering up right now.
An incredible 25 points behind bitter rivals Celtic, their performances in big games (or lack thereof) haven’t gone unnoticed by the fans propping up the bar, with the 4-1 thumping at Tynecastle by Hearts the final straw for many of our resident drinkers.
In fact, some of them are even casting their minds over potential replacements for the former Brentford coach at Ibrox, should things continue to frustrate on an almost weekly basis. In order to return to winning ways, a section of our punters have been arguing over whether or not the club should look to turn to Alex McLeish if Warburton is to go.
Though currently out of work after ill-fated spells in the Premier League, as well as Belgium and Egpyt, the former Hibs chief won two league titles at Ibrox, as well as two Scottish Cups during his last five-year spell in charge of the club.
So, that poses the question to Rangers fans, would you take McLeish back over Warburton?
