Warburton and McParland reportedly facing Rangers inquest with Ibrox meetings held

With the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern still lamenting their side’s performance during their shocking 4-1 loss to Heart of Midlothian earlier this weeks, it’s fair to say they could really do with some cheering up indeed.

The Gers face a battle to finish in top two and reports from the Daily Record hint at yet more problems for Ibrox manager Mark Warburton. They suggest their complete failure to even keep up with bitter rivals Celtic, who are 25 points clear, is leaving top brass in Glasgow with something to think about.

Warburton, despite leading the club up into the top flight, is not a hugely popular figure amongst our punters and the report suggests their struggles to beat sides on lesser budgets, as well as the state of their recruitment, is thought to have caused discontent amongst the club’s bosses.

In fact, director of football Frank McParland is also understood to have been questioned of late for some of the signings he’s made on a big budget with meeting and cross-examination reportedly held at last week’s board meeting.

While either’s departure isn’t written in the stars, these are depressing times for the Rangers-mad punters as the Hoops run away with the league.
