After a busy summer of business, the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern were really hoping to see more from Mark Warburton’s side this season, who have so far proved reasonably disappointing.
It’s been a difficult season at Ibrox, though the insatiable nature of transfer rumours and the like have the punters propping up the bar desperate for more tidbits.
Well, that’s exactly what they’ve got in the shape of a story from the Daily Record, suggesting the club were ready to join the race for Dundalk sensation Daryl Horgan.
He, along with teammate Andy Boyle, are understood to have come across the club’s radar as their respective contracts wind down to their final month.
Both have proved mightily impressive during the Irish club’s European heroics, with both of them earning call-ups to Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland side.
While the Gers are likely to face big competition for both, the report claims Warburton is keen to add both to his ranks.
