It’s been a miserable season for the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, with many of them already looking ahead to next season.
Not only are the Gers trailing bitter rivals Celtic in the league, their other big rivals are very likely to finish above them. Aberdeen lead Pedro Caixinha’s men by six points heading into the final two games of the campaign and the two meet at Ibrox tonight.
So, the pressure is on the Light Blues to try and catch the Dons, with much made about the rivalry of late. Well then, imagine the fury amongst the Gers in the bar when they saw Pittodrie boss Derek McInnes taking a swipe at Caixinha.
The Portuguese has been rather vocal about Aberdeen recently, suggesting the Dons need a new ‘cycle’ ahead of next season, having been the second best team in Scotland since Rangers’ plight.
As a result, McInnes has questioned why Caixinha would talk so openly about his side, sparking arguments between the two sets of supporters in the Tavern.
"I find it strange he feels the need to talk about Aberdeen so much."
