The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern were given a shock to the system yesterday.
Indeed, while our resident Gers have been seriously annoyed about the club’s difficulty in replacing Pedro Caixinha, Tony Pulis’ sacking at West Bromwich Albion meant another interesting option opened up. Though the Welshman proved a divisive figure amongst the Baggies in our bar, he’d certainly be a big name coup for the Light Blues right now.
With so many names touted as potential targets for Rangers ever since Caixinha’s sacking, Pulis would be an interesting option. You know what you’re getting with him, though his last few months at the Hawthorns suggested his powers were on the wane and the expectation level at Ibrox truly is massive, unlike anything he’s had before.
Having said all that, here’s a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to the notion of Pulis arriving in Glasgow.
So some of the talks about McLeish? McInnes? Pulis? Big Sam? Welcome to rangers Juande Ramos
If rangers really do go for Pulis they should've at least kept Garner match made in horrible to watch football heaven there

Wouldn’t mind an old school manager likr Pulis at ibrox. Probably exactly what we need #Rangers

Imagine if Rangers are really serious about naming Tony Pulis as the next manager of the football club….. I really hope this does not happen!!! https://t.co/2pKwDBI2Or

Would love to see Pulis at ibrox would give the players a system at least. Wouldnt take any player not giving 100% should be an absolute no brainer for us.
