Glasgow Rangers: Fans fume as Foderingham comments are taken out of context

Departing Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham made what appeared to be some rather bitter comments on the Open Goal Podcast recently.
It has been confirmed that the 29-year-old will be exiting the Gers on a free transfer, after he has seen his playing time significantly reduced since Steven Gerrard became the manager at Ibrox – since he joined in 2018, Foderingham has made just 13 appearances in all competitions.
On the podcast (via The Daily Mirror), he said that Gerrard told him he “wasn’t his type of person”, which was then covered by plenty of mainstream outlets – Gers fans even slammed him for the comments. However, the podcast themselves have now taken to Twitter to set the record straight, saying that the comments have been taken out of context.
Are you upset to see Wes Foderingham leave?
Yes

No

This attracted the attention of the 54-time Scottish champions’ supporters, and they appear rather angry with how the comments have been portrayed, seemingly trying to stitch up Foderingham – one fan even called it “gutter journalism”. The reaction is understandable, given it was revealed that actually the shot stopper had nothing but praise for his former club.
They have taken to the social media platform to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments below.
Gutter Journalism, why publications like this should just shut up shop, not fit for purpose and even more so now that paper media is dead, they are now fishing for the clicks and leeching stories/quotes.
All the fan media and podcasts like yourselves are what fans are after.
