Rangers were on the end of another humiliating defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday, and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be disappointed even further with what happened in the tunnel.
Graeme Murty’s side were beaten 4-0 in their Scottish Cup semi-final match with the Bhoys, however, a confrontation between Alfredo Morelos and Greg Docherty will be at the front of his mind of things to sort out.
The two players clashed at the final whistle and had to be pulled apart by Bruno Alves, as they swapped words with each other. According to reports made by the Daily Record, the confrontation continued to escalate in the tunnel as both were filled with emotion and went after each other.
The media outlet have also claimed that more heated exchanges had taken place inside the dressing room and Murty will need to talk with his players about their actions. The Ibrox boss also angered Andy Halliday, who he took off before halftime, however, he is not expected to speak with anyone until a few days later.
Rangers fans in the Tavern will be hoping that the reaction from their players is more positive than negative, as they all share the embarrassment of the heavy defeat to Celtic. Morelos and Docherty have both been key for the Gers and punters will be looking for their team to move on from the situation quickly.
