The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern were delighted to see their side finally beat bitter rivals Hibernian last night after ending the Leith giants’ dominant record against them.
Indeed, while the Light Blues were battered for much of the game at Easter Road last night, a quick-fire double from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos before half-time reversed proceedings just before the interval. The latter, who has gone off the boil of late, certainly had a rather bizarre game.
Though he’s a popular figure amongst our resident Gers, the Colombian largely had a night to forget in Edinburgh last night, constantly losing the ball with a poor first touch, before excellently setting himself up for the winner after a quick break.
That, in truth, has summed up his season for the club. Ruthless in front of goal, though frustrating in other areas. With that in mind, here’s a look at what fans on Twitter made of his performance last night.
Pretty rubbish 45 minutes from Rangers overall, but Morelos and Windass both score goals from nothing. Two very special players.

How Rangers came away with 3 points is beyond me. Players not turning up. Morelos was terrible apart from that bit magic.

Let's not forget Morelos missed two absolute sitters tonight. Rangers should have won 4-1. Disappointed poor finishing cost Rangers a more deserved scoreline.

Morelos easily worth at least £25M in the transfer window.

Morelos would be on 15+ if he could header a baw.

Rangers so bad tonight it was brilliant. Morelos missed two sitters and McCrorie denied a penalty early doors with a pull. Fourth win in a row for Murty!
