Steven Gerrard, allegedly, tried to talk to a free agent in the winter to convince him to join him at Rangers.
According to a report by The Times, that is what Ravel Morrison has revealed.
The former Manchester United and West Ham United midfielder has told the media outlet that Gerrard was willing to sit down with him and discuss a potential move to Ibrox with him whilst he was a free agent.
The 26-year-old, who eventually signed for Ostersunds FK, said that the former Liverpool star was a ‘legend’ and suggested that he had a different approach to other managers.
“He’s a legend in football and he was willing to sit down and have a really good conversation,” he said.
“Certain old-school managers wouldn’t have done that.”
Gerrard managed to rebuild and reshape the Rangers squad he inherited with a number of additions in the winter and summer transfer windows.
And, it would have been interesting to see Morrison at the Light Blues, as the 26-year-old has had a rather peculiar career to date.
However, the midfielder is now plying his trade in Sweden with FK Ostersunds and Rangers may feel just wonder what may have been with the former Manchester United and SS Lazio player in their ranks.
