Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their side to make a number of additions this summer as they look to continue to dominate Scottish football.
The locals in the bar will be looking for Brendan Rodgers to keep ahead of Old Firm rivals Rangers and new manager Steven Gerrard and will want to see the club make movements in the transfer market.
The Bhoys have already been active in keeping their own players at Celtic Park, with Tom Rogic signing a new long-term deal, whilst the Scottish Sun are claiming they have identified a midfield ace to join him in the middle of the park.
According to the media outlet, the Hoops are interested in bringing Hibernian star John McGinn to Parkhead this summer, as the race for the Scotland international builds up. The 23-year-old will not be short of offers, however, a deal to Celtic could appeal as he supported the team from his childhood days.
Indeed, his grandfather used to be a chariman of the Glasgow giants, so a move to Parkhead would see him go full circle.
The capture of McGinn would certainly please the locals in the Tavern should they be able to get a deal to happen. The midfielder is set to enter the final year of his contract and the Bhoys will look to get him on the cheap, although the Easter Road outfit will look to get seven figures for him.
The 23-year-old would be a quality addition to the Parkhead side, as he would be able to come straight into the team when required and could be a ready-made replacement for Stuart Armstrong, should he decide to leave in the near future.
