Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be impressed with the start to life Steven Gerrard has had and will be hoping it can continue for as long as possible.
The Liverpool legend has already made a number of additions to the Ibrox side and will be looking to continue his recruitment drive with at least a few more new faces, whilst also offloading some of the deadweights from his predecessors.
It is believed Gerrard is keen to use his links with his former club to help with Rangers quest, however, according to reports, he may have to wait until the final moments to get one possible deal across the line.
GOAL are reporting that Dominic Solanke is a potential loan target for the Light Blues this summer, however, they will need to wait until August to bring him to Ibrox, which goes against the new manager’s plans of having his squad already assembled.
Solanke has not really hit the heights for Liverpool since moving from Chelsea in 2017, however, Gerrard will know that the 20-year-old has the potential to be a big player in the future.
A move to Rangers could be good for the forward, as it would give him the opportunity to play at a high level on a consistent basis and should he perform well enough, give Jurgen Klopp something to think about when he returns to Anfield.
It remains to be seen whether Gerrard is prepared to wait until August to see if he can get his man, or if he will turn his attention elsewhere just in case a deal is not possible with his former club.
