Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern could be about to be preparing themselves to wave goodbye to one of their centurions this summer.
Steven Gerrard has been busy in the transfer market since his arrival as the new Light Blues’ boss and has been looking to strengthen all areas of the pitch.
The Ibrox chief has made a number of additions and it appears that one of those new signings could signal the end for one of Rangers’ mainstays over the last few seasons.
According to a report in The Scottish Sun, Wes Foderingham could be about to leave the club following the arrival of Allan McGregor. He has also been told he would be the third choice goalkeeper for Gerrard, as he was impressed with Jak Alnwick as well, with the club ready to listen to offers.
The former Swindon Town number one has made over 100 appearances for the Light Blues since joining them in 2015 and will not be happy to be behind the other two shot-stoppers in the squad, which makes it appear almost certain that he will leave this summer.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will trust Gerrard knows what he is doing when it comes down to Foderingham. The goalkeeper, who has made over 100 appearances for the Light Blues, has been a mainstay for the club, however, with the arrival of McGregor, the locals will feel they have found an immediate upgrade and will not be too disappointed to see the 27-year-old depart Ibrox.
