Rangers are expected to make a number of changes this summer as Steven Gerrard begins life as the new Ibrox chief and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be excited for what he brings to the club.
The new manager is expected to bring in a number of new faces to the Light Blues as he tries to make them a competitive force in the Scottish Premiership and compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for domestic honours.
He is also believed to be evaluating the players he currently has on the club’s payroll and will be certain to cut a number of them from the books, with reports suggesting he is ready to let one of his wingers go.
The Scottish Sun are claiming Michael O’Halloran could be handed his marching orders from Ibrox, with Motherwell and St Johnstone leading the chase for the 27-year-old flop. Having joined the club back in 2016, he has struggled to make an impact and could be offloaded sooner rather than later.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be pleased to see that Gerrard is already making a list of players he no longer wants at the club and will be delighted with the news that O’Halloran is one of those.
The winger did not make friends with the locals in the bar earlier in the month when he was spotted sitting with Celtic fans in the stands at Hampden Park in the Scottish Cup final and will be wanting to see him depart rather quickly.
