Steven Gerrard will be looking to make a number of big changes over the course of the summer transfer window, as he’ll look to challenge for silverware next season. And, the Liverpool legend has already started to look at potential signings, as according to the Scottish Sun, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard wants Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson on loan.
Steven Gerrard wants to sign Harry Wilson on loan this summer as he looks to raid his former club.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at fellow Championship side Hull City, where he managed to score an impressive seven goals and assisted four for his teammates. Although, Gerrard got a taste of the Welsh wizard before he was sent out on loan, as he saw him progress in the Liverpool Under-23s side.
Interestingly, it’s believed that Liverpool want a loan fee of £250,000 plus penalties if Wilson does not play enough games.
However, they could face stiff competition for the youngster, as it’s understood that Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and Aston Villa are also interested.
Harry Wilson would be a great addition if Gerrard can manage to bring him to Ibrox this summer, as he was terrific in the Championship this season and could play a big part in the Scottish Premiership. So, it looks as if the Rangers boss is looking to make big changes this summer, as the 21-year-old Liverpool starlet may be one of the players brought in to make an impact.
