Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern could be set to see a number of changes at Ibrox this summer as Steven Gerrard prepares to take control of his new team.
The Gers will want to strengthen to enable them to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic in the domestic competitions, whilst they will also want to do better than they had done in the Europa League as well.
However, Gerrard could find it a difficult task as he will need to work hard to keep his best players, with The Scottish Sun reporting that Alfredo Morelos could be the subject of another bid. The Colombian forward was attracting interest from Chinese side Beijing Renhe and it is believed they could be prepared to make another offer to bring him to the Far East.
Rangers fans in the Tavern will be desperate to keep the 21-year-old after he had an impressive first season in Scotland. The striker has scored 18 times in 43 appearances for the club across all competitions, becoming one of the club’s only bright lights in a poor campaign.
The punters in the bar will be hoping Gerrard can convince the £1.58million-rated (as per Transfermarkt) attacker to remain at Ibrox, however, an offer as good as the £11m they received for him in January could be too good for the new boss to turn down.
