Report: Rangers deal looks to have fallen through

Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be delighted with what Steven Gerrard has managed to achieve at the club already and will be looking forward to what they can achieve on the pitch.

The Light Blues’ boss has been extremely active in the transfer market this summer, having made a large number of signings, however, the locals will be keen to see what they translate to on the pitch.

The Gers went through a similar phase with Pedro Caixinha last summer but the majority of those players appeared to flop under the Ibrox pressure. One player that was brought to the club, on a loan deal, was Jason Cummings, however, it does not appear he will be returning for a permanent stay.

According to a report in The Scottish Sun, the Scotland international was believed to be keen on remaining in Glasgow after having found himself on the fringes at Nottingham Forest but it now seems that a deal has fallen through for him.

Cummings was mainly used as a substitute during his time at Rangers, although he did manage to score twice in his 15 games.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Rangers fans in the Tavern will not be too disappointed that a deal for Cummings has not been able to go ahead, despite him playing a bit role last season.

The locals would much rather see how the new additions that have already been brought in under Gerrard cope and will hope they will perform as well as expected on the pitch when the Scottish Premiership starts.
