Rangers fans here in the Tavern will be desperate to see some movement throughout this summer, as they’ll need to strengthen massively to challenge bitter rivals Celtic.
Indeed, the Bluenoses will be desperate to challenge in Europe and domestically next season after failing to assert their dominance last time out. But, with Steven Gerrard at the helm, they may be able to create something special next season. And, it appears as if Rangers will be saying goodbye to one of their players, as according to the Scottish Sun, Michael O’Halloran is poised for a shock move to Australia.
Indeed, it’s understood that a switch to Melbourne City is on the cards.
It’s thought talks have opened between the clubs over a permanent move, although City would have to stump up cash with O’Halloran currently under contract. He still has two years left on the four-and-half year deal he signed when Mark Warburton splashed out on him back in 2016, but the Bluenoses will be keen to see him go after failing to include him in their plans.
So, Rangers are in positive talks with Melbourne City over a move for Michael O’Halloran, which would benefit both parties, as the Australian outfit would get their man and Rangers would receive a sum of money for a player that is of no use to them anymore.
