Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with how things have been progressing with Steven Gerrard at the helm and will be excited about the upcoming campaign.
The new Light Blues boss got his managerial career at Ibrox with an emphatic 6-0 victory against Bury before heading into their Europa League tie, with over 40,000 people in attendance to watch.
Gerrard would have been pleased to see a number of the new faces get on the scoresheet in the friendly, however, it appears he is not quite done with fine-tuning his squad this summer.
The Daily Record are claiming that Rangers are edging closer to completing deals for Umar Sadiq and Lassana Coulibaly ahead of their Thursday night clash. The duo are expected to complete one-year loan deals from AS Roma and Angers respectively and could be in contention to play Shkupi, provided work permits are secured for the pair.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be excited with the developments that the duo could be on the verge of joining them at Ibrox this summer. Sadiq would offer the Light Blues a huge attacking threat with his presence, whilst Coulibaly would offer plenty of creativity in the middle of the field as he shone in France’s top-flight last season.
