Steven Gerrard was busy bringing players into Rangers this summer as he looked to rebuild the squad he inherited.
He used his links with Liverpool to bring a couple of players to Glasgow, with the likes of Ryan Kent, Ovie Ejaria and Jon Flanagan all following him to Ibrox.
The trio have all been heavily involved in the first-team this season and have contributed on the pitch significantly as the Gers look to improve on the last couple of seasons.
Kent, in particular, has been excelling for the Light Blues and the 21-year-old has admitted that he is happy to be at Rangers.
“The fans have been incredible throughout my time here,” he told the club’s official podcast.
“They have a big part to play in our performances. I think you can see that in the results we have had recently.
“Especially for me, when I pick the ball up and I hear all the fans get behind me, it gives me a great deal of confidence. They’re the best fans in the world and you can see that with the atmosphere in each game.”
Kent’s comments about the fans will certainly help endear himself to the Ibrox faithful, something that he has already been able to do with his performances.
The winger has put in a number of impressive displays for Rangers already and has shown signs of improving under Gerrard as each game goes on.
Although his returns are still not great at the moment – having scored twice and assisted once – he is likely to increase those tallies with the more opportunities he gets, but those at Ibrox are just loving seeing how he plays and what he offers the team on the wing.
