Steven Gerrard has been incredibly active in the transfer market ever since he stepped into the hot-seat at Ibrox with 9 summer signings already secured, but recent reports suggest he is far from finished just yet.
The new Rangers manager has used his past history with Liverpool to secure the signings of both Jon Flanagan and Ovie Ejaria already this summer, but the Scottish Sun believe he is set to welcome another player from Merseyside in a matter of days.
According to the report, Ryan Kent has agreed to join Rangers on a season-long loan deal following two unsuccessful spells last season with SC Freiburg and Bristol City, with the 21-year-old expected in Glasgow in the next 24 hours to complete a medical.
The 21-year-old winger has demonstrated huge promise throughout his youth career, but his recent failure to break into the first-team at both Freiburg and Bristol City is a genuine cause for concern for Rangers supporters.
It seems that Steven Gerrard has turned his attention to Kent after missing out on Harry Wilson to Derby County, and he will be hoping the young winger can finally begin living up to his potential in the SPFL next season.
Rangers fans can expect to see Kent starting in a left-wing position where he prefers to cut inside onto his favoured right-foot, but Gerrard may be tempted to deploy him as a number ten or on the right-wing to experiment with different combinations in attack.
