The Rangers fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing news the club are set to renew their interest in a Scottish youngster.
The Daily Record is reporting that the Championship winners are set to double their offer in a bid to land Livingston youngster Matthew Knox.
The 16-year-old has come through the ranks at Livingston and has earned rave reviews for his performances as he has come through.
Knox has had trials in England with Everton, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Tottenham all taking a look before the summer window.
Rangers initially bid £75,000 for the youngster but that was rebuffed by Livingston so they are now doubling their offer to £150,000 to test the resolve of the Scottish club.
The Rangers fans in The Tavern are delighted that the club are looking at younger players that the club can bring through the ranks, and bring into the first team in the future.
Our landlord thinks this could be an astute bit of business for Warburton and his Rangers side, as the man clearly must have ability!
