Rangers supporters have been significantly more buoyant in recent weeks after seeing their side pick three consecutive Scottish Premiership victories to move above Aberdeen into second place in the table, and now just five points behind leaders Celtic.
Interim manager Graeme Murty, who will see out 2017 in the role, took over following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha back at the end of October, and has certainly steadied the ship at Ibrox following a sluggish start to the campaign under the Portuguese. Former Reading and Southampton defender Murty has since led the Gers to five wins from his seven games in charge, including their last three on the spin with victories away and at home to Aberdeen, as well as Saturday’s 2-1 success over Ross County at Ibrox.
Consequently, there have been many upbeat Rangers fans in the Tavern in the last few weeks, many of whom are singing the praises of caretaker boss Murty, whose side visit Hibernian on Wednesday in a bid to keep the pressure firmly on Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic.
In the meantime though, there has been plenty for our resident Gers fans to get their teeth into, not least a recent post on the club’s Twitter handle confirming that Ross McCrorie has won the club’s Player of the Month award for November.

The 19-year-old defender started all four of their Scottish Premiership matches during the month to help the side to two wins in that time, scoring in the 3-0 victory over Partick Thistle, as well as grabbing an assist in their defeat to Dundee.
And the Scottish youngster has been rewarded by being named the club’s Player of the Month, which is news that has stimulated quite a response from Rangers on Twitter, some of whom praised former boss Caixinha for giving McCrorie a chance in the first team…
Brilliant and well deserved. Special mention to Pedro Caixinha for giving Ross a chance in the first team.

A positive thing from Pedro’s reign was young McCrorie’s introduction. Still much, much more to show.
