Steven Gerrard admits he would be satisfied with more additions

Steven Gerrard could still bring new faces to Rangers this summer as he looks to complete his rebuild of the squad.

The Light Blues have been one of the most active teams during the transfer window with the additions that they have made, however, it appears they are not quite finished with their business.

Gerrard is thought to be in the market for a striker and has revealed that he could be prepared to bring in an extra player to help satisfy his current concerns with the squad.

Speaking to Rangers’ YouTube channel, he stated: I’ve made no secret that if we can add another body or maybe a couple then I’ll be more than satisfied that we have enough bodies to face what comes our way.

“But there’s no point in worrying about that unless we go and get the right result tomorrow. The only way we’re going to need a bigger squad is if we qualify for the Europa League.”

The Verdict:

Barring a complete collapse, Rangers should make the next round of the Europa League as they take a two-goal advantage with them to Slovenia.

Gerrard has been looking to add firepower to his squad this summer, with just Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq as his main options and could see him bring one to Ibrox.

There is still plenty of time for the Light Blues to add, with the window closing at the end of August, however, they will need to ensure they qualify for the next round of European competition.
