Steven Gerrard could still look to make another transfer this summer as he continues to look to boost his defence at Rangers.
It is believed Gerrard is still keen on adding a left-sided player to his ranks this summer and it is thought the Trotters man could be ideal.
However, it could be difficult to land the defender, as he has featured for the Championship outfit in all of their matches so far and has is thought to be a vital part of the club’s plans.
Gerrard has been busy in the transfer market, however, it appears the left side of defence is the one area that he is still wanting to improve.
The new Light Blues manager has struggled to find bring a player to Ibrox in that position, with offers for the likes of Millwall’s Jake Cooper and Jake Simpson of AFC Bournemouth being rejected.
Rangers could struggle to bring the 28-year-old to Ibrox this summer after the start Bolton have had to their Championship season.
The £450k-rated enforcer, as per Transfermarkt, has been crucial to Phil Parkinson’s side and Gerrard may find it difficult to prise him away from the club.
And, with the transfer window edging closer to its deadline, he may need to look elsewhere for defensive recruits.
